About University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences Residency Program
The mission of the Residency Training Program, sponsored by the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, is to educate pharmacy residents in pharmacy practice, clinical precepting, didactic teaching, clinical research, and manuscript writing; to provide patient care; and to provide services to the community at large based upon this knowledge. Our goal is to develop leaders who will practice autonomously as an integral member of the health-care team in the clinical pharmacy setting and/or as a clinical faculty member in the academic setting in a professional, ethical, and competent manner.
UB SPPS sponsored residencies offer numerous advantages over freestanding residency programs.
Each resident has the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of teaching and scholarly activity. Additional opportunities include:
Teaching Certificate Program
Continuing Education Seminar
Preparing Residents for Scholarship
Project Presentation Day
Community Service and Global Outreach
