Legacy Health's residency training program was accredited in 2001 and has grown to six positions based out of six unique practice sites.  The pharmacy departments provide decentralized patient care including collaborative drug therapy protocol management, with a strong presence in all clinical areas within Legacy.  Our pharmacy departments value a continuous learning environment, and our residency program support this value.  Legacy Health is proud to train future educators, preceptors, mentors and leaders in the profession and has trained over 40 PGY1 residents.  Many of these past residents have stayed on as a member of our pharmacy team.

Each resident will have a home site for their required learning experiences (internal medicine, critical care, emergency medicine, administration) and their staffing requirement. Residents will be able to complete up to 2 elective rotations (12 weeks) at another Legacy Health site. Elective experiences include: ambulatory care, transplant, infectious diseases, trauma critical care, cardiovascular critical care, pediatric critical care, pediatric and adult oncology, neonatal critical care, and informatics.
