About JPS Health Network
JPS Health Network in Tarrant County consists of an approximately 573 bed acute-care, teaching hospital and over 40 outpatient clinics that provide more than 1 million patient visits every year. A major employer in Tarrant County, JPS has been recognized for many years as a teaching hospital which offers medical residencies in family practice, orthopedic surgery, psychiatry, podiatry, emergency medicine and obstetrics and gynecology. JPS Health Network is an NCQA recognized Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home and is the only health network in Tarrant County dedicated to caring for medically vulnerable populations. All residents and staff are actively engaged in providing evidence-based multidisciplinary care and promoting health-maintenance and prevention strategies to positively impact population health.
John Peter Smith Hospital is recognized as an indispensable health care resource as well as being the only Level I trauma center in Fort Worth, TX. The hospital is also a comprehensive stroke center, STEMI receiving center, and the emergency department sees over 130,000 patients/year. The pace is stimulating, filled with a wealth of challenging experiences that are rewarding, and patient centered care is provided by multidisciplinary teams throughout the hospital.
