About Penn Presbyterian Medical Center PGY1
The Pharmacy Department at PPMC is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care and service, advancing medical science through research, and educating the next generation of pharmacy practitioners and leaders. The PPMC PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency is a twelve-month, postgraduate training experience that abides by accreditation standards set forth by the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists. The goal of this residency is to provide experience to develop competency, knowledge and skills as a clinical pharmacist within a healthcare system and preparation for a PGY2 residency.
The PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at PPMC is an ASHP-accredited program as of 2013. The program was established in 2011 and has continued to grow alongside the Penn Medicine health-system. PPMC currently offers four positions for the PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency.
