About New Mexico VA Health Care System
The New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS) is comprised of the Raymond G.Murphy VA Medical Center and state-wide Community-Based Outpatient clinics.
The Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center is a Level 1 tertiary referral center with a 24-hour Emergency Room located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the heart of the Land of Enchantment. The medical center is authorized to operate 310 beds, which include acute hospital beds and an extended care facility. Primary Care is provided through the Patient Aligned Care Teams and the Home Based Primary Care program.
As a teaching institution, the medical center is affiliated with the University of New Mexico and the Central New Mexico Community College.
