About VA North Texas Health Care System - PGY1 Residency Program
This PGY1 program is comprehensive and flexible including both block and longitudinal training schedules. Required block rotations are Ambulatory Care, Drug Information, Geriatrics, and Internal Medicine. Required longitudinal rotations are Anticoagulation, Research, Staffing and Management.
Electives are available and offered in the following areas: Critical Care, Infectious Diseases, Mental Health, Oncology, Spinal Cord Injury, Management and more. Residents are also required to independently precept pharmacy students in the second half of the PGY1 program. The program offers availability of PGY2 specialty residencies in Ambulatory Care, and Mental Health. US citizenship, Pharm.D. degree, GPA of 3.2 or higher, licensure, academic transcript, curriculum vitae, 3 letters of recommendation
