PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency (Main Campus)
The Pharmacy Residency (PGY-1) is a one-year program designed to provide a foundation of diverse experiences in pharmaceutical care as well as in health-system pharmacy practice. The residency program builds on Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY-2) pharmacy residency training. The resident receives extensive training and experience in all areas of hospital pharmacy practice. The residency is designed to expand the skills and knowledge necessary for direct patient care.
