The Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency UnityPoint Health-Meriter (UPH-M) is designed to train the resident to become an accomplished Infectious Diseases pharmacist and to appreciate the operational policies and practices to create, maintain, and improve an Antimicrobial Stewardship program (ASP). The resident will work under the close supervision of the Residency Program Director, who is a Clinical Professor in pharmacy and has guided UPH-M’s ASP for nearly 30 years. In addition to rotations directed at Antimicrobial Stewardship, specific training in clinical microbiology, Infectious Diseases Consult service, Infusion Center, Adult Intensive Care, Emergency Services, Newborn Intensive Care, and Immunocompromised Inpatient and Ambulatory Stewardship are offere
