Residency Showcase Program Listings

MedWatchers is looking for a resident who can bring a fresh perspective and innovation to our clinical programs which impacts health of our patients one patient at a time. MedWatchers diverse and multilingual team designs, develops and implements clinical programs to resolve health care issues and close gaps in care.

MedWatchers residency program intends to provide education to post-graduate pharmacists and help them gain experience in managed care pharmacy, including the areas of clinical program development and implementation, Stars and HEDIS Measures, population health management, health data, software maintenance, IT development and pharmacy operations.

Training 

Upon completion of this program, the resident will achieve competency in the following areas: 

• Providing direct patient care through various medication management services, including comprehensive and targeted medication reviews and chronic disease state management  
• Providing consulting services in a long-term care setting 
• Designing new clinical program initiatives to meet business and client needs 
• Implementing clinical programs and operational strategies to improve performance on quality measures (Star, Display, HEDIS) 
• Tracking key performance indicators for clinical programs and participating in data collection and reporting 
• Creating collaborative practice agreements that allow for an expanded scope of practice  
• Participating in drug information and formulary management to promote clinically appropriate and cost-effective medication use  
• Assisting the client management team to build client relationships, ensure client needs are met, and create plans to address and resolve client concerns 
• Serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students during APPEs
• The resident is also required to complete a major research project and present their findings.

• This position can become work from home after initial training.
• Pay: $59,000 per year
• Duration: 12 months
