Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla is a 444 bed hospital that offers four 12-month postgraduate year one (PGY-1) resident positions and one PGY2 in infectious diseases.  Scripps memorial is home of the Prebys Cardiovascular Institute and is San Diego's largest heart care provider which includes an advanced heart failure program & ventricular assist device programs.  Additionally it is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level II Trauma Center.  Residents selected for this program participate in management activities for clinical programs and operations at Scripps hospitals. The pharmacy department is open 24/7 and includes a central pharmacy and OR satellite locations.
