The PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program is a one year post-graduate program designed to provide the resident with the knowledge, expertise, skills and abilities required in pharmacy practice. In addition, the program is meant to provide the resident with a concentrated clinical experience along with exposure to all available aspects of administrative pharmacy practice. The ultimate goal of the program is to enhance the resident’s competence and skills as a productive member of the Health Care Team and to obtain an in depth working knowledge of all other areas of clinical and administrative pharmaceutical practice.

The West Palm Beach VAMC is located in West Palm Beach, Florida and currently trains seven pharmacy residents; four PGY1 residents and three PGY2 residents (one Cardiology, one Pain/Palliative Care and one Psychiatry).
