Ambulatory Care Pharmacy
The Pharmacy Residency Program at Trinity Health Muskegon (formerly Mercy Health Muskegon) believes that pharmacists can and must have an active role in patient care within the health system. This program offers a positive atmosphere to learn and grow professionally by providing opportunities to teach, to collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and provide direct patient care.
Accredited by ASHP since 2001, our residency program at Trinity Health Muskegon is designed to train pharmacists in central hospital pharmacy, decentralized clinical pharmacy practice and ambulatory pharmacy practice. We offer two PGY1 residency positions focused on institutional practice and two PGY1 positions focused on ambulatory care. Also, since 2020, we offer a PGY2 ambulatory care resident position which is currently in candidate status. Our program prides itself on molding rotations to meet individual resident educational goals, building on the foundation of advanced clinical pharmacy practice.
Graduates of the program have successfully pursued clinical, staff, faculty, and managerial roles in various health systems throughout the United States.
