Internal Medicine Pharmacy
The program’s goal is to provide the knowledge, skills and confidence required for a career as an internal medicine pharmacy practitioner. Rotations in Internal Medicine, infectious disease, critical care, ambulatory care, leadership, practice management, and precepting are completed at the Buffalo General Medical Center. Academia is a longitudinal experience with didactic, facilitating, and committee responsibilities at University at Buffalo, School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Elective rotations include anticoagulation, cardiology, emergency medicine, and nutrition. The resident is an integral part of the medical team and provides frequent presentations to students, residents and physicians. A clinical research project and MUE are also required.

Successful completion of PGY1 Residency
Eligible for NYS Licensure
On-site interview with formal presentation
An application form is not required, but the following items must be submitted through PHORCAS:
Letter of intent
Three professional references
Transcript of university grades
Application materials must be received by December 31st of the year you wish to begin the program to be considered for an on-site interview. A formal presentation is required during the interview.
