Our pharmacy residency offers a comprehensive introduction to the practice of hospital pharmacy. Our residency will prepare pharmacist clinicians to perform as highly qualified clinical pharmacists in a hospital setting, serve as adjunct faculty or enter PGY2 training.

Our in-patient pharmacy department and team work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide optimal pharmaceutical care for all patients by promoting evidence-based, fail-safe medication use. Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center welcomes residents and students to our hospital for Introductory and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience.
Our pharmacy staff are dedicated to educating future pharmacists through our affiliations with pharmacy schools and our PGY1 residency program. Student precepting, formal presentations, and research projects allow comprehensive training with an emphasis on evidence-based medicine.
Graduated from an accredited school of pharmacy, an interview, 3 letters of recommendation and eligibility to become a licensed pharmacist in the State of Maine.
