PGY2 Infectious Diseases
Over the course of the year the resident will gain experience in the management of common and uncommon infectious diseases in variety of patient populations; develop a solid understanding of microbiology, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of antimicrobial therapy; strengthen his/her communication skills through formal and informal presentations and interactions with other healthcare providers in a variety of settings; participate in an infectious diseases and pharmacy related interdisciplinary committee; enhance his/her teaching skills by precepting pharmacy students on infectious disease rotations and the instruction of 3rd year pharmacy students in the infectious diseases elective at the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy.
