The University of Colorado Hospital is a 703-bed tertiary care facility / Level I Trauma Center located in the Denver metro area with a focus on cancer research, solid organ and bone marrow transplantation, HIV/AIDS research, and infectious diseases. Pharmacy services are decentralized, serving patients from numerous outpatient and inpatient satellites. Use of automation exposes the resident to an integrated model of patient care that emphasizes clinical services. Our close affiliation with the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences gives the resident an excellent opportunity to interact with faculty in advanced practice roles. New this year, we are offering a PGY1/PGY2 combination program in Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL). The program is applying for Pre-Candidate status through ASHP, and is listed separately. PGY2 opportunities available through partnership with the School of Pharmacy including: ambulatory care, critical care, emergency medicine, infectious diseases, solid organ transplant, and oncology. PGY2 programs listed separately.
