PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) Residency
UW Health SwedishAmerican is a 352-bed, full-service, non-profit hospital serving the greater Rockford region, northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. SwedishAmerican is also a teaching hospital that hosts the University of Illinois College of Medicine's residency program. Clinical pharmacists are assigned to the emergency department, each floor of the hospital, specialty pharmacy, cancer center, retail pharmacy, and the pharmacist managed anticoagulation clinic. The PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) residency program at UW Health SwedishAmerican is designed to build upon PGY1 residency graduates’ competence in the delivery of patient-centered care to be able to excel in a high-level leadership role in an institutional pharmacy setting.
