Archbold is a regional healthcare system located in Thomasville, Georgia. Currently 3 positions are available and residents will be able to participate in a large selection of clinical rotations and learning experiences. During this one year training program the residents will deepen their clinical and leadership skills while becoming competent in medication entry and dispensing through supervised shifts in the main pharmacy. During the week day they will spend time with our clinical pharmacists in various specialty areas such as nephrology, critical care, internal medicine, emergency medicine, infectious disease, oncology, ambulatory care and home care. Each resident provides education for their team and the nursing staff on their assigned rotation. On top of their clinical rotations the residents will be responsible for developing and completing a longitudinal project, staffing anticoagulation clinic, and participating in administrative functions such as antimicrobial stewardship and review of medication usage.
