Johnson City Medical Center PGY1
The PGY1 residency at Johnson City Medical Center (JCMC) provides advanced level training in the delivery of patient-centered care, leadership and pharmacy services in a community-based teaching hospital. Residents will develop skills to successfully interact with inter-professional teams to optimize drug therapy, lead medication safety initiatives, and provide education. Required learning experiences include cardiology, critical care (medicine or trauma-surgery), infectious diseases, medicine (family or internal), management, and pediatrics. Required longitudinal learning experiences include advancing practice, continuing education, formulary review, medication use evaluation, research, and staffing.
