PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency: Moffitt Cancer Center is a 206 bed, academic teaching facility and an NCI designated National Comprehensive Cancer Center located in Tampa, Florida. The residency program will concentrate on the development of clinical practice skills, leadership, and confidence. Our practice model focuses on multidisciplinary patient care and residents will participate in research and teaching along with patient care in providing excellent pharmaceutical care. Core practice areas will include rotations in administration, drug information, internal medicine, critical care, infectious disease and ambulatory care. Other elective rotations include but are not limited to: hematology, the oncology, stem cell transplant, pain and palliative care, nutrition support, and pediatrics. The 12 month program combines didactic and experiential learning in both inpatients and outpatient setting in developing expertise in pharmaceutical care. Program Contact - Anand.shah@moffitt.org
Pharm.D. degree or other appropriate advanced degree or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience, eligibility for Florida licensure, virtual or onsite interview, three letters of recommendation, academic transcript and letter of intent.
About Moffitt Cancer Center
Moffitt Cancer Center's Department of Pharmacy PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency is a 12-month program designed to further develop the resident’s academic, professional, leadership, and research skills. Specifically, the resident will be actively involved in managing the therapeutic decisions and clinical outcomes of patients in a multi-disciplinary environment. Upon completion of the program, the resident will have the confidence and skills to practice in variety of pharmacy services and excel in the realms of clinical practice, teaching, and research.
