Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) is a not-for-profit health-system that serves more than 13 counties and 1 million people. At the hub of NGHS is Northeast Georgia Medical Center, with four campuses (Gainesville, Braselton, Barrow and Lumpkin). The Gainesville campus is a large community and teaching hospital. The Gainesville campus, along with Laurelwood (a mental health and substance abuse treatment center) comprise 667-acute care beds.
