The Hospital Health-System Pharmacy residency program is a 12 month full-time, post-graduate year one (PGY-1) training program.
The program is designed to prepare pharmacists for clinical and/or operational management positions in hospitals and integrated health care systems. Through directed practical experience, this residency is designed to develop expert skills and competencies in pharmacy practice leadership. We offer a flexible program customized to each resident, but intended to provide clinical, management, research, and teaching experiences. In addition to the core clinical competencies, experiences will include advanced pharmacy leadership, informatics, sterile compounding, regulatory compliance, medication safety, finance, and inventory management. Participation in pharmacy practice management activities help increase a resident’s understanding of the role of pharmacy in the healthcare system.
