VA Central California Health Care System (VACCHCS) PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program
The VACCHCS PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program was established in 2010 and is accredited by ASHP. It is a full-time, temporary appointment with an anticipated duration of one year. Residents are employed within the Federal government and thus are subject to all regulations and requirements of the Federal system. The residency program is designed in accordance with the ASHP Accreditation Standard for Post Graduate Year One (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency Programs. Competency areas include: 1) Provision of patient care; 2) Advancing practice and improving care; 3) Leading and managing, and 4) Teaching, educating, and disseminating knowledge.
