As a resident of our program you will practice in ambulatory clinic settings with both direct and indirect oversight so you can refine your skills alongside your preceptor while still having the opportunity to be independent in your practice. Residents will manage both adult and special populations including pregnancy and pediatrics. Our residency prepares graduates to practice in an ambulatory setting where new clinical services are both established and needed.
Residency Special Features: Residents complete 15 months of clinical longitudinal rotations in our teaching, internal medicine, and high risk pregnancy clinics with elective block rotations at different clinics included throughout the year. Residents will also complete a longitudinal quality improvement project, participate in population health efforts, participate in the centralized refill service, and sit for their BCACP board certification exam. The program covers the expense of ASHP study materials and the exam fee.
Matched applicants are required to go through traditional HR screening including but not limited to a background check and drug screen. Providence employees must remain compliant with federal COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
How to apply: Completed applications will only be accepted through the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) at ashp.org/PhORCAS no later than January 6th. Match ID: 653565

The purpose of Providence Medical group’s PGY2 pharmacy residency program is to build on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and PGY1 pharmacy residency programs to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists in specialized ar...eas of practice. PGY2 residencies provide residents with opportunities to function independently as practitioners by conceptualizing and integrating accumulated experience and knowledge and incorporating both into the provision of patient care or other advanced practice settings. Residents who successfully complete an accredited PGY2 pharmacy residency are prepared for advanced patient care, academic, or other specialized positions, along with board certification, if available.
