Founded in 1891, Lowell General Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital serving the Greater Lowell area and surrounding communities. With two primary campuses located in Lowell, Massachusetts, Lowell General Hospital offers the latest state-of-the-art technology and a full range of medical and surgical services for patients, from newborns to seniors. Lowell General Hospital’s Pharmacy Department provides pharmacy services to 400+ hospital beds across two inpatient campuses, multiple urgent care centers, a surgery center and an integrated physician practice organization. Our department employs over 70 pharmacists and technicians, utilizes four dispensing pharmacies, and has an operating budget of over $40 million. Comprised of Tufts Medical Center, Lowell General Hospital, MelroseWakefield Hospital, Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford, an expansive home care network and a large integrated physician network. The health system is the principal teaching affiliate for Tufts University School of Medicine.
