Welcome to Orlando Health - Orlando Regional Medical Center! Thank you for your interest in our PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program, which is a one-year ASHP-accredited program.
Orlando Health is made up of eleven hospitals with additional free-standing emergency departments as well as an extensive primary care, specialty care and outpatient services network. We are a nationally renowned pharmacy residency program, developing leaders in pharmacy since the PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency program at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (OHORMC) was initiated in 2001. Since that time, we have expanded significantly and now offer PGY-2 programs in critical care, emergency medicine, oncology, and pediatrics. Orlando Health is a great teaching environment; with more than 250 medical residents and fellows on this main campus we are well integrated into the medical teaching teams. We currently have the following ASHP-Accredited residencies: PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Orlando Regional Medical Center (OHORMC), PGY-2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency (OHORMC), PGY-2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies (OHAPH & OHWPH), PGY-2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency at Orlando Health Cancer Institute (OHCI) and PGY-2 Emergency Medicine Residency (OHORMC). New for the 2022-2023 residency year is a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital (OHDPH), currently in pre-candidate status for ASHP-accreditation.

Founded in 1918, Orlando Health is Central Florida's largest, not-for-profit, healthcare teaching center. Encompassing six hospitals and 1780 total beds, Orlando Health provides comprehensive health services for residents throughout Central Florida. The main campus is located near downtown Orlando and includes Orlando Regional Medical Center (604 beds), Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children (158 beds), Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies (285 beds) and the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center Orlando. These four facilities serve as the primary training sites for the PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency. Orlando Health also trains 194 medical residents and fellows, through eight accredited medical residency programs and twelve fellowship programs, and over 4800 allied health professionals annually. Orlando Regional Medical Center is Central Florida's only Level I Trauma Center, treating approximately 5000 trauma patients per year, and also serves as the area's... only Burn Center. Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is an acute care pediatric hospital providing comprehensive pediatric care and is also a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies provides complete women’s and babies’ care from obstetrics and high-risk gynecologic services to a 112-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Orlando Health also provides comprehensive oncology services through an official affiliation with the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
