The PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency program at Clara Maass Medical Center offers opportunities for residents to participate in multidisciplinary practice while working in a hospital in one of the largest integrated health systems in New Jersey. There are currently two PGY-1 positions available at CMMC. We participate in the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service and will be participating in the ASHP Residency Matching Program for all classes.

The pharmacy residency program at Clara Maass Medical Center (CMMC) provides an environment designed to produce competent and compassionate health system pharmacists. The program provides residents with a variety of opportunities to develop their clinical, communication, and leadership skills all while providing superior patient care. Practice areas in include: Facility and departmental orientation, Hospital Pharmacy, Internal Medicine I and II, Infectious Disease, Administration, Drug Information, Research, Medical Emergency and Response, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Behavioral Health, and Cardiology. This is in conjunction with the diverse elective learning experiences afforded to the resident through CMMC and RWJBarnabas Health. Residents will be able to conduct research and present the results at local and national meetings. Residents will develop as leaders through our longitudinal learning experience, participation in RWJBH Residency Leadership Forum, and local and system involvement. For those interested in preceptorship, residents can participate in academic teaching certificate offered by the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University, The CMMC team serv...es as preceptors at several universities which affords the resident opportunity to strengthen residents knowledge and skill and develop as a mentor to pharmacy students.
