This residency offers a unique experience, melding the community hospital setting with an established GME component. Our GME program currently has over 100 medical residents (including a cardiology and critical care/burn/trauma program). We provide the opportunity for our residents to learn in a variety of patient care settings, receiving instruction in medication management from dedicated, competent, and enthusiastic preceptors.
The PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program at HCA Florida Blake Hospital is committed to providing a robust training environment grounded in excellent training experiences that support the resident's clinical, academic, and professional interests. Opportunities for professional travel, networking, and continuing professional development are available. Our goal is to prepare pharmacists for the next step in their career, with an emphasis on leadership development and critical care.
