The PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program at Froedtert Hospital is an established 12-month residency program that offers residents flexible, comprehensive training in a variety of areas. Rotations and activities are tailored to meet the needs and interests of each resident. Additionally, there are many teaching opportunities available throughout the year, including the ability to complete a teaching certificate through the Medical College of Wisconsin School of pharmacy.
Residents complete required rotations in medicine, critical care (MICU, SICU, CVICU, or Neuro ICU), pharmacy administration and acute care staffing (longitudinal). There are many elective rotations available including, infectious diseases, oncology (acute and am care), emergency medicine, cardiology, neurology, solid organ transplant, ambulatory care, perioperative care, diabetes management, academia, toxicology, medication use, informatics and more! PharmD degree received from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy or equivalent as indicated by achievement of the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee (FPGEC) Certification.
Active Wisconsin Pharmacist License is required or eligible for and must obtain within 3 months of start of residency.

PGY1 positions are available in acute care focus (12 residents), ambulatory care focus (4 residents), PGY1/PGY2 Health-system Pharmacy and Leadership (4 residents), PGY1/PGY2 Medication Use Safety and Policy (2 residents), PGY1&2 Pharmacy Informatics (1 resident). Additionally, three PGY1 resident positions are available at Froedtert Menomonee Falls, one of Froedtert's affiliated community hospitals.
PGY2 positions are available in a variety of specialties including ambulatory care (3 residents), critical care (2 residents), emergency medicine (2 residents), infectious diseases (1 resident), medication use safety and policy (2 residents) oncology (4 residents), and pharmacy informatics (1 resident).

Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital (FMF) is a 202-bed community hospital located in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. It was founded in 1964 by the citizens of Menomonee Falls and surrounding communities. It is a full-service hospital that specializes in cancer care, heart and vascular care, orthopedics, women’s health, and advanced surgical procedures.
