This 12-month residency (currently in ASHP candidate status) is offered in conjunction with Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.?Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ is a 600-bed comprehensive urban academic medical center and level I trauma center for Central New Jersey. It serves as the primary teaching facility for the Rutgers University School of Pharmacy and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.?This residency program provides a broad range of medication use management experiences including drug information and formulary management, drug shortage management, medication safety, clinical informatics and quality improvement. Residents are provided opportunities to develop skills in critical literature evaluation, evidence-based medicine, and interdisciplinary committee coordination. Residents will participate in the operation of the Drug Information Service as well as the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. Opportunities for teaching, research, medical writing, and administrative involvement are available.?
Applicants should possess a Pharm.D. degree and completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency. Applicants should be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey.
