Salina Family Healthcare Center is located in Salina, Ks and has been an integral part of the community since 1979.  This foundation focused on rural family medicine residency called the Smoky Hill Family Medicine Residency Program, which to this day has produced class after class of highly dedicated and excellent physicians, most of whom serve rural Kansas.   In 1991, Salina Cares was founded by visionary health professionals as a volunteer-led clinic to serve the uninsured and underinsured of Salina.  Through great collaboration, Smoky Hill began providing resident physicians to staff Salina Cares in 1998. In early 2004, Salina Cares merged with SHEF/Smoky Hill and formed Salina Family Healthcare Center (SFHC).  On December 1, 2004, SFHC became a Federally Qualified Heal
