Chandler Regional Medical Center is a Level I Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center located in the East Valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area. The residency program is designed to provide a range of experiences ensuring program graduates are competent generalists while allowing flexibility to align with resident interests and prepare graduates who wish to seek specialized residency training. Residents will have the opportunity to build precepting skills through interactions with students from local colleges of pharmacy.
Required rotations: Orientation, Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, Medical ICU, Trauma ICU, Emergency Medicine, Pharmacy Administration (longitudinal), Research and Drug Information (longitudinal), Staffing and Service (longitudinal)
Staffing: Every other weekend in a centralized role with dispensing and clinical components.
Graduation from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy (or commensurate combination of education and clinical experience) with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. If applicants' college of pharmacy does not utilize GPA then class ranking must be provided. Eligibility for Arizona licensure. Completed PhORCAS application including letter of intent, curriculum vitae, and three letters of recommendation with at least two from clinical rotation preceptors. Applications are due January 2nd.
