The program is designed to prepare residents for a clinical pharmacy career within a dynamic managed care environment. Centene Pharmacy manages formularies and other products for diverse populations including commercial members, Health Exchange, Medicaid and Medicare enrollees. Our residents become proficient in applying evidence-based principles to clinical decision making, and developing effective project management, analytical, presentation, and leadership skills. The resident gains experience in pharmacy operations, formulary management, medication therapy management (MTM), drug utilization, and plan performance.
