PGY1 pharmacy residency programs build on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.

Emory University Hospital Midtown is formerly known as Emory Crawford Long Hospital. At Emory’s Midtown hospital, some of the world’s top specialists are advancing medicine every day. We have more than 1,200 Emory Clinic and 440 private-practice physicians spanning 28 specialties. Our physicians work collaboratively to provide comprehensive care and quality outcomes for our patients and their families. Emory Midtown is well know for services in cardiology, cardiac surgery, gastroenterology, neurosurgery, oncology, orthopedics and emergency medicine. Women's services include prenatal and postnatal education, bone density testing, mammography, and obstetrics with specialization in high-risk pregnancy.
Emory Midtown is a Disproportionate Share Hospital with 550 beds, including 92 ICU beds, a level III neonatal intensive care unit with 48 beds and four hyperbaric oxygen units.
Winship Cancer Institute at Emory Midtown is designed to deliver a unique model of cancer care that places patients at the center of specialized care communities bridging outpatient and inpatient care and integrating groundbreaking research into preventions and treatments. Winship achieved National Cance...r Institute (NCI) designation in 2008 and comprehensive NCI designation in 2016 and is the only NCI-designated cancer center in Georgia. Winship pharmacy services include an ambulatory infusion center, specialty pharmacy clinics, and retail and specialty pharmacies.
