Baptist Health Hardin’s Post Graduate Year One (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency builds on the Doctor of Pharmacy education. The PGY1 residency program is designed to enable the resident to provide progressive pharmacy services in a regional community hospital setting. We strive to contribute to the development of a clinical staff pharmacist responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and PGY2 pharmacy residency training.
The Baptist Health Hardin PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program is currently in candidate status and seeking two self-motivated resident candidates with the desire to help build the program.
The program places emphasis on work-life balance and individualized experiences. Residents will complete three elective rotations that are four weeks in length, and six required rotations that are six weeks in length.
Residents will obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy (UKCOP) Teaching Certificate. There will be additional opportunities for credentialing based on the individual resident's development plan and elective rotation experiences. The program is affiliated with the University UKCOP, which provides Voluntary Faculty Instructor appointments for residents, teaching opportunities at the College, library access, and statistician support.
Additional Program information and application instructions for the PGY1 pharmacy residency program can be found on the program website.
