PGY2 Critical Care Residency
The program will provide the candidate with the necessary experience to become a competent and confident critical care pharmacy practitioner. Core rotations are Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Neuro ICU and Emergency Medicine with electives in Cardiac, Cardiothoracic, Nutrition, Pediatric, and Neonatal ICU. Off-site elective experiences may also be available in the areas of Trauma and Toxicology The resident precepts APPE pharmacy students and PGY1 residents, conducts in-services for hospital staff and lectures for pharmacotherapeutics courses at two different pharmacy schools. Research requirements include an MUE and a project designed to improve the quality of ICU care.
