Residency Showcase Program Listings

The Cone Health PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency program is intended to provide the resident with experiences in community, specialty, and ambulatory care pharmacy. The resident will provide patient care services at the following sites: Cone Health Community Health and Wellness Center, a primary care medical home with a focus on the uninsured population, Cone Health Community Pharmacies, hospital retail based pharmacies with 6 locations that focus on serving the needs of our employees and community, and Cone Health Specialty Pharmacy, a specialty pharmacy with a focus on improving the employee and patient journey throughout therapy with close collaboration with specialty pharmacy staff. The sites offer opportunities to gain knowledge on chronic disease states, specialized disease states, and medication therapy management, with the goal of enhancing and expanding community pharmacy practice through innovation. The majority of time will be spent in direct patient care in one of the outpatient pharmacies and ambulatory care sites. Graduates of our program will be prepared for success in a variety of community-based practice positions.

Graduate of an ACPE-accredited PharmD program and eligible for licensure in the state of NC. Cone Health does not provide visa sponsorship for pharmacy residents. Apply using the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS). Three references should be completed with writers providing feedback in 75% of the available comment fields – a separate recommendation letter is not required.
