OSU Medical Center is a 195 bed hospital serving the Tulsa metro and surrounding areas and is the largest osteopathic teaching facility in the nation. More than 150 residents are trained on an annual basis, not to mention the countless medical, nursing, and pharmacy students who rotate through our facility.
Our pharmacy team consists of 16 pharmacists, including 14 residency-trained clinical pharmacists who work in internal medicine, ICU, emergency medicine, family medicine, HIV, outpatient diabetes management education, and other specialties. Our Director of Pharmacy, Dr. John Bury, is also a residency-trained pharmacist.
Our goal for you as an OSUMC resident is to teach you to independently function as a clinical pharmacist upon graduation. Our teaching certificate program will also assist a resident interested in pursuing a faculty position. Our experienced preceptors are dedicated to your training and will facilitate your learning during your time as a resident.
