University of Cincinnati PGY1 Community-Based Residency Program
PGY1 community-based pharmacy residency programs build upon the doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to develop community-based pharmacist practitioners with diverse patient care, leadership, and education skills who are eligible to pursue advanced training opportunities including postgraduate year two (PGY2) residencies and professional certifications. Our program prepares residents to fill positions as clinical providers of advanced patient care services in community-based pharmacy settings with a focus on underserved communities. The program will equip the resident to: Provide culturally appropriate direct patient care services Hone skills essential to becoming an integral part of a health care provider team Educate patient
