The Aultman Hospital Main Campus (Canton, Ohio) PGY2 Emergency Medicine Program boasts experiences at a level II trauma center, STEMI receiving center, and Primary stroke center as well as at the Aultman Orrville Critical Access Hospital and Emergency Department. Residents have a strong collaborative relationship with the EM medical residency program in addition to receiving EM-focused medication safety, infectious disease, and critical care experiences.
Aultman Alliance Community Hospital (Alliance, Ohio) offers a variety of services to the Alliance community. The MEDS Clinic is a pharmacist-run ambulatory care clinic that offers chronic disease state management through an interprofessional patient-centered environment. The two PGY1 residents focus on chronic disease management across the continuum of the inpatient and ambulatory care services provided through the required rotations of Ambulatory Care I and II, Internal Medicine I and II, Transitions of Care and Medication Education, and Pharmacy Informatics. Additional opportunities are available in Academia, Emergency Medicine, Pain, Palliative & Hospice Care, Alliance Family Health Center, Acute Care, and Infectious Disease.
Resident Eligibility Requirements:
Pharm.D. in good standing from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy by June of the residency year
Eligibility for Ohio pharmacist licensure in good standing by September of the residency year
Ohio intern licensure in good standing by July 1 of the residency year
No active or pending investigations, restrictions, or probations by any state board of pharmacy that may or does affect intern or pharmacist licensure
