Residency Overview
SSM Health DePaul Hospital PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency was established in 2016.
Pharmacists completing a residency at DePaul Hospital will become confident, competent, and independent practitioners in multidisciplinary health care settings. The focus will be serving community hospitals.
SSM Health has education affiliations with University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis, MO and Southern Illinois University School of Pharmacy in Edwardsville, IL. Throughout the year residents will participate in a local seminar series, the Midwest Pharmacy Residents Conference, and the Southern Illinois University School of Pharmacy teaching certificate program. The resident will also participate in precepting Advanced Practice Pharmacy Experience (APPE) students from the local colleges of pharmacy.

Application Requirements
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy, PharmD preferred and eligible for MO licensure. Candidates must submit curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, transcript, and letter of intent. The required letter of intent should emphasize career goals, reasons for wanting to complete a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency, and reasons for wanting to complete a residency at SSM Health DePaul Hospital.
