They will be leaders and change agents at their practice site and for the profession. Many graduates continue with PGY2 specialty training before entering clinical practice or assuming a clinical faculty role.
Our PGY1 residency has been ASHP-accredited since 1975 (originally under the facility name Medical College of Georgia Hospitals and Clinics and MCG Health, Inc.). We have almost 5 decades of residency graduates who are making a difference every day!
Applicants for the Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center-University of Georgia College of Pharmacy residencies must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in Georgia at the start of the residency.
