• 60 bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Approximately 62,000 ER visits annually
• Graduate medical education programs in family practice, internal medicine, surgery, OB/GYN

The PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program at Good Samaritan TriHealth Hospital (GSH) is designed to provide 12 consecutive months of graduate professional education and training structured to meet the accreditation standards of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) by employing a systems-based approach to training design, delivery, and evaluation.

• Critical Care
• Emergency Medicine
• Infectious Diseases
• Internal Medicine

Elective rotations (residents choose four):

• Behavioral health
• Bone marrow transplant
• Cardiology
• Endocrinology
• Hematology/Oncology
• Informatics
• Neonatal intensive care
• Neurovascular critical care
• Palliative medicine
• Pharmacogenomics

Longitudinal experiences (required):

• Administration - clinical
• Administration - operations
• Pharmacy practice/staffing
• Research project
• University of Cincinnati teaching certificate program

Applicants for the PGY1 Program at Good Samaritan Hospital must possess a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited college of pharmacy as well as be eligible for licensure in the state of Ohio.
