The PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Duke Raleigh Hospital equips residents with the knowledge and skills to be successful independent pharmacy practitioners in the inpatient setting. The Duke Raleigh PGY1 is designed to provide strong clinical pharmacy experience at an acute-care community hospital with exposure to health system pharmacy practice management. Graduates of the PGY1 program will be prepared to excel as inpatient clinical pharmacists, seek pharmacotherapy board certification, and pursue PGY2 residencies if interested.
Interested applicants should complete application materials through the PhORCAS system (deadline for submission will be January 5th, 2024). After review by our Residency Committee, qualified applicants will be notified to arrange an interview during select days in February. This interview provides an excellent opportunity for residency applicants to become acquainted with the residency program.
