The Holy Cross Health (HCH) Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) Pharmacy residency is an immersive 12 month, full-time program designed to build competence in health-system pharmacy practice. The program aims to provide optimal, hands-on training in a variety of core health-system pharmacy practice areas. Under the guidance of experienced preceptors, residents learn to apply and integrate pharmacotherapy principles through participation in direct patient care activities. Graduates of the program possess the knowledge, skills, and experience to enter into health-system pharmacy practice, pursue post-graduate year 2 (PGY2) training in a specialty of their choice, and sit for pharmacotherapy board certification.
