The Pharmacy Residency Program (PGY1) at M Health Fairview Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, MN is a 12-month program consisting of core and elective learning experiences that are tailored to the resident’s interests.
M Health Fairview Woodwinds Hospital, part of M Health Fairview Woodwinds Health Campus, is an 86-bed facility focused on providing patient-centered care. The primary patient populations include orthopedics, obstetrics, general medicine, emergency medicine, and outpatient oncology/infusion. During the residency year, the resident will have the opportunity to complete learning experiences at other hospitals or clinics within the system to diversify clinical experiences. The resident will also work closely with residents at other M Health Fairview sites.
The schedule allows for approximately 12 weeks of elective experiences, including global health (Tanzania, Africa), pain management, medication therapy management, orthopedics, cardiology, NICU, and anticoagulation management. An elective Teaching Certificate is also available to those residents enrolled in the PGY1 residency program.
