St. David's South Austin Medical Center PGY1 - Affiliated with UT College of Pharmacy
St. David’s South Austin Medical Center (SDSAMC) provides the resident with a solid foundation in acute patient care. Required learning experiences include: Hospital Pharmacy Practice, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, and Emergency Medicine. Longitudinal learning experiences are Residency Research Project, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Inpatient Staffing, Pharmacy Administration and Management, and Academic Teaching Certificate. The elective learning experiences are flexible based on the resident’s goals and options include: Cardiology (inpatient and outpatient), Shock Trauma, Oncology, Trans-plant and Cellular Therapy (inpatient and outpatient) and potentially other rotations based on preceptor and site availability. SDSAMC is a preceptor site for University of Texas IPPE and APPE pharma
