General Description
Saint Joseph Health System is proud to offer one Pharmacy Resident position in a 54 week, ASHP accredited, PGY1 Pharmacy residency program that takes place in the hospital setting. The residency year is comprised of both elective and required block rotations in addition to required longitudinal rotations. It is designed to graduate clinical pharmacists responsible for medication- related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.

Teaching Experiences
Residents have the opportunity to complete didactic lectures for pharmacists, pharmacy residents, and medical residents at Saint Joseph Health System. In addition to this, residents have the lecture opportunities at colleges of pharmacy. Residents are given the opportunity to precept pharmacy student and participate in the preceptorship of medical resident rotations. Residents are able to participate in the Indiana Pharmacy Teaching Certificate

Our residency programs are very collegial. You will feel like you are part of a class of 40 residents.
We expect our residents to become autonomous. The family medicine general medicine service will become your longitudinal responsibility.
We were the first PGY1 pharmacy residency program to include training in global health.
Our alumni network is vast and ALL alumni freely give back to the program on an annual basis.
