Methodist Germantown, part of Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare System, is a 313 acute care community hospital in Germantown, Tennessee, a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee, that offers a variety of experiences including a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care, robust Surgery services, Emergency Medicine, Cardiology, Infectious Disease, and Transitions of Care among other various rotations. Pharmacists are part of the healthcare team and actively participate in medication order review, therapeutic drug monitoring, protocol management, patient education, and student and resident preceptorship. MLH also provides experiential training for student pharmacists from the University of Tennessee and Union University.

Residents will complete a major project, provide education to patients, students, and healthcare professionals, serve on institutional committees, and participate in departmental projects. Residents participate in longitudinal experiences including pharmacy resident conference, research development, and leadership development. Residents can participate in the UTHSC Pharmacy Educators Academy and earn a Teaching Certificate. Residents also have the option to spend one elective rotation at Methodist University Hospital or LeBonheur Children's Hospital. 

A PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy, completed PhorCAS Application, eligibility for Tennessee licensure, transcripts, CV, and three clinical recommendations are required.

Methodist Germantown Hospital offers an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency. The program accepts 2 residents annually. The purpose of the program is to provide the resident with the skills, knowledge, and attitudes required to become a competent pharmacy practitioner.
