The Coastal Medical/URI residency is a unique 12-month PGY1 residencyproviding direct patient care in outpatient primary care practices. We have one PGY-1 resident position available. The resident works collaboratively as a member of the healthcare team to prevent andalleviate medication-related problems, optimize patient outcomes, advancethe workflows for medication use and safety in primary care, and evaluatethe impact of medication management services. The resident will receivetraining in the delivery of direct patient care, the enhancement of professionalcommunication and interpersonal skills, academic teaching, student preceptingand management skills.
